LEGAL AIDE

The legal clinic provides guidance, advice or legal representation to migrants and refugees who wish to initiate an immigration administrative process, to recognition of refugee status, to obtain identity documents in their country, to file a complaint with the CNDH or State Commissions. This department performs  advocacy work with local legislators to build a more hospital atmosphere for migrants and refugees.

The legal clinic also contributes by training students and professionals  They also conduct group trainings to promote a human rights perspective on the issue of migration and asylum.

Degree in Psychology from ITESO, specialized in relational systemic family therapy. Volunteer for a year in the Sierra Tarahumara, as manager of a sboarding school as well as participating in community activities. Experience as coordinator of a university student volunteer program at ITESO with rural communities in southern Jalisco. She has been working in FM4 since August 2019, as the person in charge of Psychosocial Care, and since January 2020 as coordinator of the Comprehensive Accompaniment area. Four years of experience as a psychotherapist, in individual, couple, family and child cases. She has worked as a teacher at the undergraduate and high school level.

Member of FM4 Paso Libre since 2011 as a volunteer in CAM, since 2013 an employee of the organization, has participated in the Care and Services Area, in the Comprehensive Accompaniment Area and lately in the Social Insertion project for migrants and refugees. Support to migrant and refugee population in matters of naturalization, family reunification, civil registry, access to rights and services in the city. In the organization he has participated in issues of training for volunteers, organizational strengthening, strategic planning and has been a member of the assembly of associates since 2013.

She has more than seven years of experience with international organizations on issues of sustainable development and risk management of natural disasters for Latin America and the Caribbean. She volunteered with the Hispanic community in the state of Maryland and Washington D.C. USA. on issues of migration and integration into society. She has experience in conference organization and logistics, fundraising, as well as conceptualizing, undertaking and managing development projects. She has worked in FM4 Paso Libre in the social insertion project since September 2019. She has a degree in International Trade and Economics. She has a diploma in Social Management of Migration and Public Policy from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and is currently studying the Specialty in International Migration at the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF).

Degree in Psychology from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) with a focus on Health Psychology and Organizational Psychology. He has participated in research and intervention projects aimed at palliative care and hospital care with relatives and patients in terminal and chronic disease processes, and others in organizational psychology aimed at evaluating, diagnosing and preparing improvement plans for the development of the company. He has worked since August 2019 in the area of Social Insertion as a Psychosocial Care Attendant and focused on serving the refugee population in the processes of reception and arrival in the city of Guadalajara, as well as responsible for the management of mental and physical health of the people inside the CAMR.

Degree in Psychology from the Western Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). Professional experience in action research on issues related to the migration of indigenous populations, penitentiary centers, digital violence directed at women and urban transformations in the city of Guadalajara. She has worked as a trainer in gender perspective in public and private agencies. Since January 2020, she is one of those in charge of Psychosocial Care within the FM4 Paso Libre Social Insertion project.

Degree in Psychology and Master in Management and Social Development from the University of Guadalajara. She has done youth research. High school teacher at the University of Guadalajara. She participated as a volunteer in FM4 since 2018 offering psychotherapeutic care in the hostel for more than a year, being in charge of the Mental Health area. She has been part of the social integration team since July 2019 as a person in charge of psychosocial care. She completed the course in psychological first aid for migrants and refugees. She is currently pursuing a diploma in educational research and another in psychotherapy with a gender focus.

Degree in Law from the University of Guadalajara (UdeG); Graduated from the Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Peace by the Technological Institute of Superior Studies of the West (ITESO), with a job to obtain a degree, in the evaluation of the design of concurrent public health policy in Guadalajara. It has a course focused on the management and evaluation of public policies by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and the University of Guadalajara (UdeG). He works as a lawyer in the private sector, since 2016 he joined the third sector, being a social service provider, in 2019 he joined the paralegals team, and since January 2020 he is coordinator of the legal care area at FM4 Paso Libre . During this time, he has dedicated himself to the defense and promotion of the human rights of people in a context of mobility.

She has collaborated in various areas of the organization since 2015, such as Shelter, Linkage and Advocacy, highlighting her performance in the legal area. Since September 2018, she maintains a working relationship at FM4 Paso Libre. She has taught various workshops on Gender and International Protection in other organizations, public agencies and universities in the country. Her areas of specialization are: Human Rights, International Refugee Law, Migration Processes in Latin America and Gender Studies.
