INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The area of Institutional Development is responsible for having an organizational structure, physical infrastructure and appropriate processes, through projects, contact with financiers, agencies, companies, government and society to manage the material, financial and human resources for the achievement of the proposed goals of the organization.

The Institutional Development area is composed of two sub-areas:
Administration

Administration is responsible for guaranteeing the responsible use of the monetary resources of the organization, providing transparency and rendering accounts.  

Purchases and project monitoring

Purchasing and project monitoring  the responsible use of resources through the constant search of solidarity providers, as well as the follow-up to the implementation of projects and their rendering of accounts..

Lawyer from the Santa María University (USM) in Caracas, Venezuela. Specialist in Criminal and Criminological Sciences from the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) in Caracas, Venezuela. Holds a diploma in “Governance and Political Management” from Andrés Bello Catholic University and George Washington University (Caracas, Venezuela) and a diploma in Municipal Management from the Universidad de Oriente (Caracas, Venezuela), with specialized studies in Alternative Justice and Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods (Harvard Negotiation Model) from the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB). He has 14 years of experience in municipal public administration, where he has worked as a Mediator Lawyer, Coordinator of Peace Justice Centers, Manager of Alternative Justice, and Director of Citizen Participation and Care. He also has 4 years of experience working with Civil Society Organizations in the area of Institutional Development (organizational strengthening, human talent, Prospecting and Fundraising, Project and Program Formulation, Development, and Execution). He carries out social advocacy activities and creates family and community networks in various rural areas of the country (Jalisco, Hidalgo, Mexico City, and Chiapas) and abroad (Venezuela), providing support to families, young people, and adults, and developing the Schools of Forgiveness and Reconciliation (ESPERE) in Mexico (2008-2011/2018-Present) and in Venezuela (2011-2017). He is a member of the International Reconciliation Foundation (Mexico Chapter and Venezuela Chapter). He is also part of the Radio Institute of Faith and Joy (IRFA-Venezuela) as a teacher of the subjects Venezuelan History, Universal History, and Civic Education (online adult education program). He joined FM4 Paso Libre in October 2019 as the Institutional Development Coordinator. Joining FM4 has been a comprehensive growth experience for me as a migrant.

PURCHASING AND PROJECTS COORDINATOR

Thalía Robles León

Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), with a specialization in International Migration from El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF). She has four years of experience in the private sector in services and information technologies, and a year and a half in the public sector managing international cooperation projects with municipal and state ties.

She joined FM4 over four years ago as a volunteer for the Saturday afternoon shift, and in July 2020, she became the Regional Coordinator of the “Inclusión Digna” Project. This project was managed by Fondazione AVSI, A.C. with the European Union and FM4 as a local partner. Its objective is to contribute to improving the situation of migrant children and adolescents in Mexico through public dialogue. The project is carried out in the states of Jalisco and Oaxaca.

Graduated with a degree in Social Work from the University of Specialties. She completed her professional internship at the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation (CEFERESO) in the Social Work Coordination area, where she carried out activities in Customs, family credential processing, socioeconomic studies, and accompaniment in Module 0 (for individuals with psychiatric or psychological diagnoses, etc.). She attended an introductory workshop on thanatology titled “Humanizing to Heal” on May 25, 2018, and volunteered in Palliative Care in 2018. She completed a diploma in Psychological First Aid for migrants, refugees, and displaced people called “Building Dignity: Human Rights, Empathy, and Solidarity” by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Mexico. She also took a workshop on Mexican Sign Language through the College of Social Work Professionals in Chiapas, A.C., in 2021. In 2021, she became part of the Local Integration Assistants team. She is currently the project administrator for the Purchasing and Projects sub-area.

She is 26 years old, an accountant graduated from the University of Guadalajara, dedicated to the private sector with experience in accounting for individuals and corporations. She has worked in companies and accounting firms since 2014. Currently, she is in the Institutional Development area of FM4, handling administrative and accounting tasks. She knows the organization since 2017 and joined it in 2018. She feels committed to the organization for the voice and opportunities it provides to migrants and refugees.
