FM4 Paso Libre (Dignity and Justice on the AC road) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the defense and promotion of human rights of migrants and refugees through comprehensive humanitarian assistance, advocacy and research in the western Mexico.
Mission
To provide, promote and defend a dignified and fair treatment that respects the human rights of migrants and refugees in western Mexico through comprehensive care, social integration, research, political and social advocacy.
Vision
We are a consolidated organization in western Mexico, which promotes and integrates various efforts in the defense of human rights of migrants and refugees, whose results position us as a local, national and international reference.
VALUES
Solidarity: an integral human commitment based on a lasting decision to help others, always maintaining openness to receiving and not just giving. We seek a radical solidarity through which we are able to understand and transform the root causes of the problems affecting people in situations of mobility.
Respect and the right to mobility: it is the recognition of the importance of the value and dignity that each person holds, along with their own and others’ right to decide whether to migrate or remain in their place of residence.
Dignity: it is the recognition of the inherent value that characterizes a person by the mere fact of existing; it is respected, and the person is valued as a unique, free, autonomous, and creative individual.
Sense of community: It is the utmost expression of welcome and reception for everyone. It involves hospitality and care towards people in situations of mobility, collaborators, colleagues, and everyone we interact with.
Justice: Any action taken within a framework of respect for Human Rights, as enshrined in the Mexican Constitution and international Human Rights treaties signed and ratified by the Mexican government.
